Mezcal is an ancestral Mexican spirit made from agave. Although there are more than 200 types of agave across the country, around 40 varieties are traditionally considered mezcal magueys.

 

Each mezcal is linked to a specific maguey species, a rural region, and a mezcal-producing family. Combined with the soil that nourishes it, this gives every mezcal its distinctive flavour, colour, and aromas.
